“Signs, signs, everywhere there’s signs”, as the song tells us but what is so great… is there really ARE signs everywhere!
When was the last time you had a decision to make and wished you could just get a sign from the universe you were making the right decision?
Truth is, the universe is giving us signs all the time. It’s just that we aren’t paying attention!
Recently, I found myself a little confused and unsure about what direction to take my life in. I would say things to myself such as, “Can I really do that?”, “What do I know about starting a business?”, “Maybe I’m supposed to go back into Corporate?”, etc.
As I was driving in my car one day, I was having another one of these conversations in my head with the universe – my guides and angels. I was thinking about where I was in my life at the time, what I was or wasn’t doing, and wishing I had some clarity to what I should do next.
I pulled up to a stop light, on a four lane road, and the car in front of me had a license plate of “X 799” and the car directly to it’s left had a license plate of “M 799”. I immediately know that is a number I am supposed to “look up” and get the “angel meaning” on mainly because that was just too odd of a “coincidence.”
You see, I was introduced to the wonderful world of Doreen Virtue many years ago. Doreen has a book and an app called, “Angel Numbers 101.” Below is an excerpt from her regarding “Angel Numbers”, messages from the universe:
“Your angels often communicate messages to you by showing you sequences of numbers. They do this in two ways. First, they subtly whisper in your ear so you’ll look up in time to notice the clock’s time or a phone number on a billboard. The angels hope you’ll be aware that you’re seeing this same number sequence repeatedly… The second way in which angels show you meaningful number sequences is by physically arranging for, say, a car to drive in front of you that has a specific license plate number they want you to see. …Ask your angels, “What are you trying to tell me?” and they’ll happily give you additional information to help decode their numeric meanings.” – Doreen Virtue
I had not ever noticed or even thought about the number 799 before that moment yet, here I was at a stop light, with two cars in front of me having almost identical license plates, with the number 799. I immediately knew I had to look up 799. In fact, I actually chuckled to myself and said, “Well, ok, I guess I’m supposed to look up 799!” So, I opened up my handy “Angel Numbers 101” app on my phone and typed in 799.
The angel meaning behind the number 799 is, “Put your entire focus on providing a service that is aligned with your strong interests and passions, as this is your spiritual purpose, and this service is needed right now.”
… Wow… just wow! You may not know me well enough yet but that pretty much sums up the journey I have been on, especially since leaving Corporate America.
In fact, as I write this, I’m sitting outside on my deck on a beautiful New England day, pausing periodically to reflect and ask the universe to help me write this entry. In that moment, I take a peak at my phone and see the clock reads 411. It is a number sequence I receive often from the universe.
The angel meaning of 411 is, “The angels are with you, ready to give you information and guidance. All you need to do is ask.” Seriously, once you start to tune in, trust, and not pass off the guidance as your imagination, you will begin to see all of the wonderful signs you are receiving everywhere!
For those of you who are reading this and know we are not alone on this crazy journey called life or even for those who aren’t quite sure but are looking for some guidance, I encourage you to ask the universe for help. Ask the universe for signs and guidance and then stay open to and trust you will get the answers.
It’s not always going to be what I call the “sexy numbers” i.e., 111, 222, 333, etc. It may be a number sequence you only see once yet, feel strongly drawn to, and are supposed to pay attention to so, do!
Using “Angel Numbers”, whether through an app, the book, or Googling it (for ex: Sacred Scribes Angel Numbers), is an easy, safe, “non-spooky” way to start to trust your own intuition and the connection you have with the universe that loves and surrounds you.
